Indian Institute of Management Amritsar successfully concluded its second annual Cultural, Sports and Management fest, AArunya’18 on 3rd and 4th February, 2018.
The colorful extravaganza constituted 26 events from Cultural, Sports and Management streams and spanned over two days. The festival witnessed students from different premier institutes slugging it out to come on top in various competitions.
Literally meaning the first ray of the sun, AArunya’18 was able to generate a sense of warmth in the hearts of both participants and organizers. The festival successfully manifested the industrious and entrepreneurial spirit of IIM Amritsar. By organizing the second chapter of AArunya in just three years of its inception, IIM Amritsar continued to showcase their mettle and determination to move forward.
Going by the theme of USP – Urja, Shakti, Pragati, the festival provided the students an opportunity to celebrate the confluence of their Energies (Urja), Passion (Shakti) and Progress (Pragati) by participating in the multifarious events in the festival. And the participants owned every event by flaunting their abilities and flair, and in the process, awe-inspiring everyone with their USPs.
AArunya’18 witnessed ballistic performances in the various Cultural events like Group Dance, Ramp Walk, Stand-up Comedy Act, The Battle of the Strings, Solo Singing etc. Also the best of the sporting personnel made thumping performances in the field of Cricket, Futsal, Badminton, etc. And presenting world class presentations for different events in different streams like Finance, Marketing, Operations etc. the participants displayed their true class.
With wonderful beats rocking the entire day, AArunya was a beautiful mix of participants in cultural, sports and business attires. The panoramic view of such scenes were the epitome of the true banner of AArunya’18.
The event also saw stellar performances from renowned bands – Swastik and Sabr, singer Hinanaaz Bali, stand-up artist Sumit Anand and Garv Malik, and DJ AceAxe.
As a part of the promotion, each student of the institute was completely involved in each function to make the festival, a lifetime experience. From performing a Flash Mob, to reaching out at every nook and corner of the city, the promotional campaign created significant buzz about the festival. And the feedback provided by various participants about the warmth, happiness, convenience and comfort they felt during the festival was the true indicator of its success.
Thus AArunya’18, a two day extravaganza of happiness, kept its promise to be a ride of exhilaration, passion and pure fun.
